Kimbra is a New Zealand singer and songwriter. Known for mixing pop with R&B, jazz and rock musical elements, her accolades include four ARIA Music Awards, two Grammy Awards and seven New Zealand Music Awards. Her musical influences range from Prince and Minnie Riperton to Björk and Jeff Buckley. Her debut studio album, Vows was released in 2011 and around the time of its release Kimbra appeared on Australian-Belgian singer Gotye's smash hit "Somebody That I Used to Know." Since then, she’s released two more full-length albums, The Golden Echo and Primal Heart, while collaborating with or appearing alongside countless artists including Bilal, Skrillex, Thundercat, Janelle Monáe, Jacob Collier, John Legend, and many more.
In 2019, Kimbra made her acting debut in the musical drama film Daffodils, then appeared as an expert and mentor on the New Zealand singing competition TV series Popstars and Apple TV+ series Helpsters in 2020. Kimbra’s fourth studio album, A Reckoning debuted in January 2023 and she will embark on a U.S. tour in April 2024.
