{"title":"gregory dirr","description":"\u003cp\u003eGregory Dirr (b. 1986, Miami FL) is a visual artist whose work explores characters,\u003cbr\u003esettings, and themes of the novel he is writing called The Big Book. This work’s\u003cbr\u003ewhimsical imagery and invented folklore feature characters that have special powers\u003cbr\u003eand abilities such as changing day to night, materializing objects from thin air, and\u003cbr\u003emultiplying themselves. Much of the imagery in this series is inspired by intense\u003cbr\u003eromantic paintings that were made for classic fairy tales long ago.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGregory received his BFA at Ringling College of Art and Design in 2008. While there, he\u003cbr\u003eproduced many significant pieces winning the Best of Core and Best of Fine Arts\u003cbr\u003eawards. His work Flora is on display at The US Embassy in Hong Kong.
