Even when singing in more subdued tones, Scott’s voice is fervent, her lyrics stirring and unyielding as she draws from both the divine and the everyday. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt’s also the first TORRES record produced solely by Scott. After having shared production duties on her first three albums, the latter \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003etwo alongside PJ Harvey collaborator Rob Ellis, she found the process liberating: “I made exactly the record I want, and it feels very ‘me.’” \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSilver Tongue \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003efastidiously chronicles the impulses that make up desire— \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003efrom the dreamy first blushes of infatuation through the slightly terrifying \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewonder that accompanies connection with another.
