making art on the road: interview with brandon boyd

You can meet amazing people at truck stops, according to moonlight arts collective founder, artist, and musician Brandon Boyd. As Incubus kicks off their special 2024 tour in Detroit this Friday, watch Brandon’s interview at Samuel Lynne Galleries in which he discusses his inspirations (including aforementioned truck stop folk) and creative process while touring.

While on tour, Brandon always brings art supplies. He finds painting on the road therapeutic in part because it's a quiet activity that helps ground the chaotic experience of a tour. Learn more in the interview and also catch a glimpse of the original edition of Chaos in Gold in the background.
