Jocelyn Ulevicus (b. 1979) is an American artist, writer, and poet based in Paris. Rooted in body-awareness and intuitive gesture, her paintings explore themes of transformation, impermanence, and emotional life through vibrant floral compositions and abstract forms. Inspired by nature and the unseen, her work invites reflection on what it means to feel, to change, and to belong. Her writing—centered on womanhood, grief, and healing—has appeared in The Laurel Review, SWWIM Every Day, Blue Mesa Review, and others. She is a Pushcart and Best of the Net nominee, and the author of The Difference Between Breathing and Swallowing (Sunday Mornings at the River, 2023). She writes under The Living Canvas on Substack, and is currently working on her first full-length book.
