Julie Heaton is a disabled artist based in Saline, Michigan. She specializes in digital painting, but loves to dabble in other mediums whenever the whim strikes her. She uses her art to explore the world around her in ways that her body no longer allows, as well as examine how her illnesses make her feel.

She attended SCAD and earned her bachelor’s in Sequential Art, where she swiftly decided she did not enjoy making comics professionally and focused on paintings and illustrations instead. Now she enjoys painting anything that catches her fancy, especially if it explores the world around her.
